General instructions

Looking after your piercing

  1. Bathe the piercing twice daily with either a salt water solution or with a mild antiseptic solution until the piercing has completely healed.
  2. Do not cover the piercing.
  3. Clothing should be worn as loosely as possible for the initial 4 weeks following the piercing.
  4. Do not touch or turn the jewellery.
  5. Do not go swimming or use a sauna for a minimum of two weeks following the piercing. Showering is preferable within this period.
  6. Do not sleep on the piercing.
  7. If any weeping occurs, clean the piercing twice daily with a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide and water for two days and then return to the normal cleaning solution for a week. Repeat this action the following week if deemed necessary.
